The Longhorns traveled to Terry last night to take on the Rangers in the second game of district play. The offense took off in the 1st quarter with Darius Anderson finding the endzone for six. On the ensuing kickoff, Kris Novosad recovered the kick to give the offense the ball. Anderson took it in again to give the Longhorns a 12-0 lead. The second quarter saw the Longhorns scoring again with Josh Scruggs scampering across the goal line. Later in the second quarter Mick Linton hit DJ Thomas on a dump pass for a touchdown. The Rangers managed to score just before half with Mikial Onu giving a great effort to no avail. The Longhorns churned the clock during the third and were able to score quickly in the fourth with Anderson getting another six, and Cameron Schooler adding the two-point conversion. The Longhorns ran out the clock to a 32-8 victory over the Rangers giving them a 1-1 record in district. They will host Angleton next Thursday here at the Ranch.
