Freshman Black – The Freshman Black football team defeated the Angleton Wildcats by a score of 14-6. The Longhorns were led offensively by Dallen D’Ambra who threw two touchdown passes, and by Justin Hermes who caught them. The defense of the Longhorns played great the entire night, stopping a lot of trick plays to clinch the win. This wins brings their record to 7-0 on the season.

Freshman Maroon – The Freshman Maroon football team hosted Angleton last night and came away with a win by a score of 30-20. The defense started the first quarter and quickly got the ball for the offense on a fumble. On the first play of offense, Xavier Parnell pancaked a Wildcat defender to allow Mitchell Steffen to bust through the line and score from 35 yards out. Later in the first, Josh Scruggs pounded his way into the endzone and Darius Anderson added the two-point conversion. Up 14-0, the Longhorns scored again with Steffen crossing the goal line. The two-point conversion was good from a Blake Whichard pass to DJ Thomas. In the second quarter, the Longhorns would score their last touchdown with an 80-yard kickoff return by Anderson. The two points from Scruggs gave the Longhorns a 30-14 lead going in to half. The Wildcats were able to score another touchdown towards the end of the game despite the hard work of the defense. Defensive standouts were Zach Loskie and Tessylim Anifowoshe. The Longhorns move to 6-1 on the season and 2-1 in district play.
