The Longhorns lost a tough one Friday night against the Lamar Mustangs. On the first drive, the Mustangs were able to drive the ball down the field and get the first score of the night. Despite the Mustangs’ fast start, the Longhorns were able to come back with a 5-yard touchdown run by Garrett Brinneman that tied the game 7-7. In the 3rd quarter, quarterback Timon Nolan threw a touchdown strike to Thomas Donahue that put the Longhorns down by a point. The defense played tough down the stretch, but two field goals by Lamar put the game out of reach. The final score was Lamar 20, the Longhorns 13.
