The Varsity Longhorns lost another close one Friday night against the Terry Rangers who are ranked in the top 10 among all 4A high school football teams in Texas. What a game it was! The Longhorn offense came out strong in the first half with two touchdowns from Collins Kwabena on a 4-yard run and a 42-yard run. The offense also got a spark from sophomore Xavian Marks who scored on a 17-yard run that ended the half with a tie score of 21-21. During the second half the Rangers and Longhorns went blow-for-blow, but the Longhorns went scoreless in the third quarter while the Rangers were able to score from 40 yards out. The final score was Rangers 34, Longhorns 29. The defense was led by Josh Okonye who played exceptionally well and provided excellent coverage all night.
