The Freshman Maroon football team traveled to Bay City and came away with another victory by a score of 31-6. Josh Scruggs scrambled into the endzone for 6 points early in the 1st. Chance Guajardo pounded his way across the goal line for another 6 during the 2nd quarter. Later in the second, DJ Thomas scored on a 65-yard pass from Blake Whichard. Darius Anderson then added the PAT for a 19-0 lead. The second half saw Anderson scoring on an 80-yard run in the third quarter and another in the fourth by powering his way into the endzone. The defense did a great job with Mikial Onu getting two interceptions on the night. The Longhorns ended a great season with a 9-1 record overall, 5-1 in district. It’s a great day to be a Longhorn and the future looks bright at the Ranch!
