Varsity – The Varsity girls’ basketball team also took on the Terry Lady Rangers on Friday night. With a good home crowd behind them, the team started off aggressively in the first half, but the quick offense of Terry came out victorious. The team would like to thank all the staff who came out to support them. Olivia West had 13 points for the Longhorns, and Kendall Bess had a strong defensive game with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. The teams will take on Angleton tonight.
JV – Turnovers were the downfall of the JV Ladies on Friday night, losing to the Terry Lady Rangers. Leading scorers for the Longhorns was Shavon Pittman with 8, Kasey Williams and Cerenitee Adams each had 5, and Ezinne Eke knocked down 4. Playing great defense were Chigozie Ogbonna and Savannah Brown.
Freshman – The Freshman girls’ basketball team defeated the Terry Lady Rangers on Friday with a score of 41-19. They continued their domination rolling to a record of 8-0 in district. Colebi Coleman scored 10 points, Leneece Haynes scored 9 points, and Chinwe Eke scored 7 points.
