The varsity boys and girls Longhorn golfers spent Monday and Tuesday on the course in the beautiful weather.

The boys came away with a 3rd place team finish beating several other 5A schools and Foster by 53 shots. The team of juniors Zach Mull (80,82), Will Ward (83,87), Manuel Londono (82,80), Paul Ferrette (94,87), and sophomore Bobby Vega (80,82) got the Spring semester off to a great start.

The girls’ team finished 5th place overall, 6 shots behind district champ Foster. Senior Nicki Oesch led the Longhorns with rounds of 87 and 88. Senior Katelyn Spaulding carded rounds of 99 and 102. Sophomore Aubrie Luckenbill contributed a first day 113. Junior Grace Kolacny’s low round was 118 and sophomore Haley Foster carded a 115 on day two of the tournament.
