The Longhorn Wrestlers hosted their first varsity tournament this past Saturday and successfully defended the Ranch. The Longhorn women finished 6th. The JV and Varsity Men were both Tournament Champions! This was the first varsity tournament championship for the Longhorns in program history. It was also a big day for Chris Greer who won the Most Outstanding wrestler award for the men’s division. The JV placers were: Michael Corvo and Johnny Duong in 4th; Cole McKnight in 3rd; Daniel Valdez in 2nd; Michael Sosnowski, Colin Flannery, Jagdeep Singh and Joey Minkel in 1st. For the women Loren Braun finished in 1st. In the Men’s varsity division; Alex Chartier and Josh Marine in 4th; Garrett Brinneman in 3rd; Brad Cross, Nick Ramirez and Michael Orhii in 2nd; Jakob Marine and Chris Greer finished in 1st place.
