Girls Varsity – The Longhorn varsity girls’ golf team edged Foster by 10 shots to finish in 3rd place as a team in the Fort Bend/LCISD district preview at River Pointe. Nicki Oesch, Katelyn Spaulding, Aubrie Luckenbill, Grace Kolacny, and Haley Foster finished day one 9 shots out of third but came back on day two with a team score of 399 to pass Foster and bring home the medals.
Boys Varsity – The boys’ varsity team captured first place, narrowly edging Elkins for the team victory. The boys also came from behind finishing day one 14 shots behind Foster. Paul Ferrette, Zach Mull, Will Ward, Manuel Londono, and Bobby Vega roared back on day two posting a team score of 324 to capture the win. Junior Paul Ferrette captured third place individually with rounds of 74 and 81.
