JV – The JV softball team lost 6-5 in five innings at GRHS on Tuesday. Scott had a hot bat for George Ranch. She went 2-3 and scored two runs. She singled in the third and fourth innings. The Longhorns jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Lulu Nowak pitched a great game for the Longhorns, but costly errors in the field led to the loss.
Varsity – The Varsity softball team was outmuscled by Foster, 9-1, on Tuesday. Natasha Cabucio pitched seven innings and allowed five earned runs, nine hits and three walks while striking out five. Stephanie Money had two extra-base hits for George Ranch. She tripled in the second and fifth innings. The Longhorns scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Roxy Weinle in the second inning.
