Varsity – Tough night for the Longhorns as the Varsity baseball team lost a close one to Foster by a score of 2-1. Will Gay went all 7 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 earned runs, while striking out 9. Gay helped himself offensively by going 2 for 3 with a solo homerun. Stone Garrett also contributed to the hit column. The Longhorns are 4-1 in district (14-5 overall) and will travel to Terry on Thursday to take on the Rangers. Come out and support the team, and GO LONGHORNS!!
JV Maroon – The JV Maroon baseball team lost a hard-fought game 2-1 on Tuesday night at Foster. Kevin Kopps pitched the complete game giving up 5 hits, 1 earned run, and tallying 5 strikeouts. Peyton Noser drove in the only run for the Longhorns to tie the game in the top of the 7th. The team’s record moves to 13-2 on the season and 4-1 in district.
JV Black – The JV Black baseball team suffered its first district lost of the year to the Foster Falcons by a score of 10-1. The Longhorns were led by Cody Tieman with a hit and Brant Spaulding.
