The Boys’ Track and Field team competed in the LCISD Relays this past Friday. The boys brought home the team title for the second year in a row beating out 4A power Marshall and 5A power Bush. Tylen Guidry, Xavian Marks, Joshua Okonye, and Alex Shaver brought home the gold medals in the 4X100 with a time of 41.78, and they also won the 4X200 with a time of 1:28.77 with both being new school records. Alex Shaver brought home the silver medal in the 100 meters; Xavian Marks brought home the bronze medal in both the 200 meters and the Long Jump. Jonah Font brought home the silver medal in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 39.90, a new school record. Chandler Heikkila brought home the gold in the 3200 meters with a time of 9:57, a new school record, and he brought home the bronze in the 1600 meters. Jordan Janer brought home the bronze in the 800 with a time of 1:58.44, a new school record, and he brought home the silver in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:39. The Longhorns will be back in action this Friday at the Clear Creek Max Blansit Relays.
