Varsity – The Varsity softball team pounded Bay City on Friday 11-1 at Bay City in seven innings. The Longhorns scored three runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Stephanie Money, a fielder’s choice, and a passed ball. Bay City couldn’t slow down Money, who paced the Longhorns with five hits. Natasha Cabucio kept contact to a minimum, striking out 13 Bay City batters. Cabucio allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over seven innings. George Ranch stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Reagan Coss and a passed ball.
JV – Perrie Fraizer sparked the Longhorns JV to a 6-2 victory in five innings over Bay City on Friday at Bay City. Lupita Nowak handled Bay City’s lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Nowak allowed no earned runs, two hits and no walks over five innings.
