Varsity – The Varsity softball team jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to Foster on Tuesday. Brittney Morse got on base two times in the game for the Horns. In the second inning, George Ranch pushed across its only run of the day on a solo home run by Morse. Natasha Cabucio was on the hill for the Longhorns. She gave up 9 hits, 1 walk and had 6 strikeouts.
JV – Foster JV didn’t have a chance on Tuesday, as George Ranch JV won in blowout fashion, 6-0, in five innings at Foster. The Longhorns scored three runs in the first on an RBI double by Lauren Chubon. Sydney Scott reached base three times. She singled in the second inning. George Ranch built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. A passed ball scored Scott for the inning’s first run. That was followed up with a steal of home by Brianna Dixon.
