On Saturday, in the final day of the Lamar Invitational, Jaylin Baldridge went 3-3 at the plate, helping George Ranch to a 6-3 victory over Memorial. She doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and fifth innings. Memorial’s lineup had no answer for Natasha Cabucio. She gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out five during her six innings of work. Then, the Longhorns outlasted Stratford on Saturday after eight lead changes, squeaking out a 8-6 win at GRHS. The Longhorns finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. George Ranch went up for good on a two-run double by Ashley Kopps, scoring Reagan Coss and Madison McDonald. It was a good day at the plate for McDonald. She went 2-3 and scored two runs. She singled in the second and fifth innings. More runners rounded the bases in the fifth on an RBI single by Roxy Weinle.
