Varsity – The Varsity baseball team hosted Brazosport this past Friday and came away with a 1-0 win. Will Gay pitched a no-hitter against the Exporters allowing only 1 batter to reach base on a walk! The lone Longhorn run came from a Stone Garrett homerun while Kyle Owen contributed 2 hits for the team. The Longhorns travel to Bay City on Tuesday with an 8-1 record in district play.
JV Maroon – The JV Maroon baseball team defeated Brazosport on Friday night by a score of 7-0. Kevin Kopps, Sarah Hudek, and Will Clark combined for the shutout on the mound. Mitchell North batted 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs to lead the offense for the Horns. Josh Biles added offensive firepower with two hits, a walk, 3 runs scored and an RBI on the evening. The team’s district record is 8-1 as they host Bay City at home on Tuesday night.
