The girls’ soccer team competed in the Area Playoffs on Thursday night against the Lady Exporters of Brazosport. The Longhorns scored a plethora of goals on the night when they started the scoring onslaught in the first minute of the game with a Julia Linton goal. Kathryn Thaxton came up big on the night scoring 3 goals and adding one assist. Howie Arzola and Colleen Janeck both scored two goals, and Alannah Jones added one goal for the Longhorns! The defense only allowed the Exporters to take one shot on goal the entire night. The girls will be competing in the Sectional Championship at Traylor Stadium on Friday night at 6:00pm against Foster. Come out and support your Longhorns!!
