Varsity – The Varsity softball offense was too much for Lamar. A six-run explosion in the third inning carried Longhorns to a 10-0 win in five innings over the Mustangs at GRHS on Friday. Madison McDonald racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Longhorns. She doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning. Natasha Cabucio kept Lamar off the scoreboard for all five innings she was on the hill. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up eight strikeouts. George Ranch never trailed after scoring two runs in the second on an RBI double by McDonald and an RBI single by Alyssa Curts.

JV – Offenses dominated as JV softball outscored Lamar 12-10. Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Longhorns and the Mustangs as the two teams put up 22 runs combined. The teams pooled for 22 hits, including nine extra base hits. Mekol Badillo racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Longhorns. She tripled in the second inning and singled in the first and third innings.
