The 2013 school year starts on August 26th and we have an exciting year of Longhorn sports that is already underway! You can keep up with the sports programs here on the ABC website. We have a Calendar for all sports events and you can go to our News page to get updates about specific programs.
The ABC is kicking into full gear so that we can fulfill our mission of supporting the student athletes of George Ranch High School. We need your help to be successful in this endeavor. There are many ways that you can get involved with the ABC:
Become an ABC Member: By joining the ABC, you provide the much needed financial resources that we need to realize our mission and provide support for our sports programs and athletes. We had over 200 members last year and we want to increase that number this year. There are several levels of membership. Check out our Join Now! page, determine which level is right for you, and sign up. You can do it all online. If you have any questions about membership, contact Susan Tse at membership@grhsabc.com.
Become an ABC Corporate Sponsor: Corporate sponsorships are critical to our success and it helps to build a relationship between local businesses and our schools. Your tax deductible donation goes a long way to help us provide support to our student athletes. If you own your own business or are self-employed, consider a sponsorship with the ABC. If the company you work for has a program that supports local organizations, please ask them to sponsor the ABC. Sponsorships can be done online on our Join Now! page, where you will also find pertinent documents related to our IRS 501c3 designation. If you have any questions about sponsorships, contact Kevin Deusterhoft at sponsorship@grhsabc.com.
Volunteer your time: The ABC coordinates and orchestrates support at a lot of athletic events throughout the year. We need parents that can assist in these endeavors. We need parent representatives for each sports program and we also need assistance with merchandise sales, event coordination, fundraising, planning and much more! If you have a student athlete, your commitment to volunteer time will pay off big for our student athletes and sports programs. Use our Volunteer Form to let us know how you can help out!
Spread the word: Most of our coaches use social media, like Facebook and Twitter, to send out updates regarding sports activities. Most of the traffic driven to this website happens through these outlets. Follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook to join the conversation. We aggregate all of the tweets from coaches and staff through our Twitter account so that you have a one stop shop for information. Any updates to our website are also posted to Twitter and Facebook. If you are on Twitter, then tweet at games and events and include @GRHSABC, or use hashtag #ghrsabc in the tweet and we’ll get the word out!
