JV Maroon – The JV Maroon football team improved to 3 and 0 on the season with a 31-0 win over Goose Creek Memorial last night. Josh Scruggs, Corey Chartier, Zach Loskie, and Blake Whichard were the offensive standouts on the evening. Kristian Novosod, Amir Mitchell, Blake Jetton, and Tessylim Anifowoshe were the defensive standouts. The Longhorns will travel to Alief Hastings next Wednesday for a 6:15pm kickoff.

Freshman Maroon – The Freshman Maroon team traveled to Goose Creek Memorial last night and came away with a 40-0 win. Brent Ugo scored first for the Longhorns with Antonio Jackson adding the two. An Evan Foston interception gave the ball back to the Longhorns. Several penalties pinned the Longhorns on their own 1/2 yard line. This didn’t stop the offense as they charged all the way down with some great runs and a huge pass from Jackson to Quintin Morris. This set up another Ugo touchdown and Jackson two-point conversion. Next defensive stand saw Brad Armstrong batting down a pass to turn the ball over on downs. This led to another Ugo touchdown with CJ Rubio adding the two. Aaron Castellano had an interception to give the offense another chance to score. This time saw Jackson in the endzone, and Chima Amushie added the two-point conversion. The fourth quarter saw Foston scoring on the offensive side, and Amushie added the two. The defense ended the game with a nice stand to stop a Goose Creek drive. The Longhorns improve to 3-0 on the season and host Alief Hastings next Wednesday.

Freshman Black – The Longhorns journeyed across Texas last night to take on the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. After the cattle drive to east Texas, the Longhorns took care of business by stampeding the Patriots 21-0. The scoring was handled by Champion Allison and Alex Fontenot. The defense was led by lineman Dandy Mbidoaka. The Longhorns will face off at home against the Alief Hastings Bears next Wednesday at 5:00pm.
