Congratulations to the GRHS varsity tennis team. They competed in area playoffs this weekend, and with a win over Pearland Dawson (with a score of 10-1) they will advance to the regional tournament. The tennis team fell short against Friendswood with a score of 0-10 and thus is the 2nd seeded team for our area. Outstanding athletes of this tournament were Joey Ballone, Sean Sellers, Gabby Griffin, Sarah Curtis, Kenneth Cunningham, Eric Duesterhoft, Bryce Davis, and Ashley Cavazos for having very close matches against Friendswood. Furthermore, shout out to Neil Gallagher, Grant Holly, and the entire girls line up for taking it to Dawson. A special thanks to Stef Ortiz for coming along with the team to take pictures!!!
