The Freshman Maroon team improved their record to 9-0 as they beat Wharton last night 8-0 here at the Ranch. The Maroon team claimed the District Championship as they went undefeated on the season as well as district play. The defense put the initial points on the board with Toby Ndukwe sacking the quarterback for the safety. The offense was led by CJ Rubio who pounded the ball down the field to set up a Chima Amushie touchdown. Antonio Jackson aired the ball out to Quintin Morris, but the Longhorns could not find the endzone again. Another defensive standout was Aaron McGee who had several sacks on the night. The Longhorns would like to thank you for your support of a great season, and we look forward to big things to come.
