Varsity – On Friday the Varsity girls’ basketball team continued on the winner’s side of the bracket in the Ranger Classic to take on the 10th ranked 5A team in Texas – Dekaney – and the 25th ranked Pearland Dawson. The Longhorns led the Wolverines for most of the 1st quarter and ended the 1st behind by 5 with a score of 12 to 7. Although the Longhorns put up a good defensive effort in both games, we fell short on the offensive end and were unable to come up with a win. Longhorn leaders were Olivia West and Alexis White in both match-ups. The girls will continue district play vs. Terry tomorrow here at the Ranch. Freshman and JV will both play at 5:00pm and Varsity at 6:30pm. Please come out and show your support.
JV – The Junior Varsity girl’s basketball team participated in a tournament at Clements High School this weekend. The team won third place! The Longhorns defeated Clements, Willowridge, and lost to Travis. In the finals, the team had an exciting game by defeating Pasadena Memorial 45-44. Great job, JV Lady Longhorns!!
