In their final tune-up scrimmage, the girls’ soccer team took on the visiting Katy Tigers.
JV – The JV squad played an extremely solid 5A opponent. They came up just short, dropping to the Lady Tigers 2-1. Claire McInnis scored the lone goal on the night in a last minute penalty kick. Rachel Buchanan did an excellent job in the goal stopping more than 20 shots by Katy. The outlook for the Junior Varsity team looks very promising to repeat as district champions.
Varsity – Tuesday night on the frozen tundra the Varsity girls played in the “ice bowl” against the Tigers of Katy High School. The battle ended in a 0-0 draw. Excellent play came from Emma Elkins and Madeline Bares putting up excellent defense to prevent the Tigers from scoring. The Varsity girls will travel to participate in the Spring Branch ISD Tournament starting Thursday night. Go Longhorns!!
