The JV Maroon baseball team won its first two games in the 2014 Columbus JV baseball tournament defeating Hallettsville 10-3 and Needville 9-1. Josh LaPierre and Ryan Harris picked up the wins on the mound for the Longhorns, while Cody Tiemann tallied a save. Justin Hermes, Daniel Boehm, Zach Holzhuter, Kyle Boudreaux, Hunter Goodwin, Clay Williams, and Jake Zatopek each had multiple hits on the day, with Goodwin driving in 3 runs for the Longhorns. The JV Maroon team will compete for the tournament championship on Saturday at 5:30pm in Columbus.
