JV Maroon – The JV Maroon baseball team defeated Brazosport on Friday night by a score of 11-4. Ryan Harris picked up the win pitching 5 innings, giving up 2 runs and striking out 5. Josh LaPierre finished the game on the mound also striking out 5. Daniel Boehm, Graham Wyatt, Kyle Boudreaux, and Dylan Rock each tallied 2 RBIs on the evening. Jake Zatopek reached base safely in all three plate appearances on the evening. The team moves to 12-1 on the season and 3-0 in district. The next game for the team will be Tuesday night in Bay City.
Varsity – The Longhorn Varsity baseball team traveled to Brazosport to take on the Exporters and came away with a 2-0 victory on Friday. Grant Page had the complete game shutout, allowing only 3 hits while striking out 6. Garrett Gray, Stone Garrett, and Kyle Owen each contributed hits on offense. The Longhorns are 3-0 in district and will continue district play on Tuesday against Bay City here at the Ranch.
