Varsity – Varsity softball came away with a win, as 21 batters couldn’t locate Natasha Cabucio as she threw a no-hitter in the Longhorn’s 7-0 victory over Brazosport!! Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Longhorns to easily put away Brazosport. George Ranch was led by Lupita Nowak‘s hitting. Nowak went 4-5 and scored two runs. She tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the first, second, and sixth innings. The varsity team advances to 4–1 in district. The softball teams play at home all this week, so please come out and support your Longhorns!
JV – The JV softball team had a 9-1 win in five innings over Brazosport on Friday. Kim Williams racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Longhorns. London Diller pitched a solid game only giving up two hits, no earned runs, walked none, and struck out five during her five innings of work.
The Longhorns play at home on Tuesday against Bay City.
