Foster and George Ranch played to a 3-3 tie on Tuesday at Foster to complete the rain-delayed season opener. Last night’s game was called after 8 innings due to the wind chill factor. The game was scoreless until the Horns broke the ice with two runs in the fourth. The Longhorns scored on an RBI triple by Natasha Cabucio and an RBI double by Stephanie Money. The Falcons fought back and scored 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth. After another weather delay, the Longhorns tied the game in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Emily Rimes that scored Kayte Martinez. Cabucio worked out of six difficult moments for the Longhorns. She pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on one hit. Cabucio faced her toughest situation in the eighth inning.
