Varsity – The Longhorns’ Varsity baseball improved to 9-0 in district play as they beat Brazosport 3-2 last night here at the Ranch. Grant Page pitched a complete game allowing 3 hits while striking out 8. At the plate, the Longhorns were led by Jon Kastens who was 2 for 3, while Garrett Gray, Kyle Owen, Brady Burns, and Kevin Kopps each added hits. The Varsity travels to Bay City on Thursday to take on the Blackcats.
JV Maroon – The JV Maroon baseball team defeated Brazosport on Tuesday night 14-0. Ryan Harris picked up the win on the mound throwing 4 shutout innings and striking out 5. Kyle Boudreaux picked up three hits and two runs scored; Nathan Weaver had two hits and two runs scored; and Hunter Goodwin drove in three.
