Varsity – The Varsity baseball team traveled to Terry last night to take on the Rangers and came away with a 3-0 victory. Kevin Kopps pitched the complete game shutout allowing 4 hits while striking out 13. The offense was led by Cameron Boudreaux who was 2 for 3, and Jonathan Kastens came up with a 2-RBI double in the sixth. The Longhorns are now 6-0 in district play and will host 4-2 Angleton on Friday here at the Ranch.

JV Maroon – The JV Maroon baseball team defeated Terry 15-1 for their 12th win in a row, moving their record to 14-1 on the season and 4-0 in district. Josh LaPierre led the way for the Longhorns offensively, reaching base each of his 3 plate appearances, recording 1 RBI, and scoring 3 runs. All in all, the team had 12 different players score and 12 different players record RBIs to finish with a true team effort. Cristian Elizondo picked up the win on the mound, giving up 1 run, with 7 strikeouts, and no walks in four innings of work. Cody Tiemann finished the game on the mound facing 3 batters and striking out 2 in one inning of work. The team will travel to Angleton to start the second round of district play this Friday at 7:00pm.

JV Black – The JV Black baseball team defeated the Terry Rangers last night by a score of 11-0. The Longhorns got great pitching from Will Loyd who threw a one-hit shutout to seal the victory. The Longhorns will travel to Angleton on Friday night to take on the Wildcats.
