The boys’ track and field competed in the Region 3-4A meet over the weekend. The 4X100 of Alfred Wande, Torin Marks, Regginald Solomon, and Xavian Marks finished 7th with a season best time of 41.74 which is the 68th fastest time in the nation. Xavian Marks finished 6th in the long jump and 4th in the 100 meters with a 10.54. Xavian now has the 29 fastest time in the nation. Jordan Janer finished 4th in the 1600 meters with a new school record of a 4:21.18.
Alex Waldschmidt finished 4th in 3200 meters. Chandler Heikkila is the Region 3-4A champion in 3200 meters with a new school record of 9:40.12. Chandler will be competing in the State championship meet on May 9, 2014, in Austin, TX! The boys’ track and field team finished 7th out of 33 teams in the region.
