Congratulations to the varsity tennis team as they hosted the district tennis tournament this past weekend. The Longhorns won medals in 4 of the 5 draws and qualified 9 athletes for regionals. Highlights for the Longhorns were first place and district champion finishes by Ally Maciel in girls’ singles, and Haley Schulte and Alessandra Jara in girls’ doubles. Bringing home second place medals were Anna Joy Jackson and Rachel Dziuk in girls’ doubles, Bryce
Davis and Ashley Cavazos in mixed doubles, and Sean Sellers and Joey Ballone in boys’ doubles. Third place medal winners were Camille Saha in girls’ singles, the mixed team of Eric Duesterhoft and Gina Bautista, and the boys’ doubles team of Kenneth Cunningham and Grant Holly. Way to go, Longhorns!!!
