The Varsity baseball team advanced to the Region 3 Quarterfinals with a 6-3 win in Game 2 over Stratford this past Saturday. Kevin Kopps went 6 1/3 innings giving up 7 hits and striking out 7. Jon Kastens came in to close it out, striking out both batters he faced. Stone Garrett led the offense going 2 for 3 with a solo homerun. Brady Burns also went 2 for 3 with Alex Shaver, Cameron Boudreaux, Kyle Owen, Garrett Gray, Kastens, and Grant Page each contributed hits. The Longhorns will take on Goose Creek Memorial this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (if needed) at Pearland Dawson High School.
