The GRHS Girls Cross Country teams traveled to the Bulldog Invite in LaPorte Thursday afternoon.

Varsity A – Battling the midday heat, the Varsity A team placed 4th overall out of 12 teams being the only 5A school to compete in the 6A division. Top 5 leaders were Theresa McComisky who medaled and placed 12th overall, Alexis Aikens placed 34th, Sydney Heikkila placed 37th, Parker McCarley placed 46th, and Katia Davis placed 48th. Rounding out the 50th spot was Natalie Quarantino. The ladies did extremely well and are ready to compete as they prepare for the Clear Lake Invite this week. Awesome job, Longhorns!

Varsity B – In the Varsity B division, senior Elizabeth Hinz finished 11th overall and freshman Grayson Thomas finished 15th. These ladies represented us very well both having top 20 places with over 100 girls competing.

JV – In our junior varsity division, the Longhorns placed 4th overall. The leader of the pack was Jazmyne Tilford-Rutherford who medaled and placed 8th overall. The next 4 runners that contributed to the scoring were Payton Rouse with a 25th place finish, Linda Etufugh with a 27th finish, Mara Niggeman with a 33rd place finish, and Sophia Keast with a 53rd place finish. Great job to all!
