Congratulations to the Longhorn volleyball teams who trounced the Wildcats of Angleton. It turned out to be a long bus ride to the game and an even longer one on the way back for the Lady Wildcats who had little to cheer about.

Varsity – The varsity got it started by beating Angleton with scores of 25-12, 25-10, and 25-10 to remain in the district title hunt. Kill leader was Mattie Ward with 9 kills. Set assist leaders were Tori Luckenbill with 19, followed by Allison Lanik with 14. Dig leader was Caitlyn Pinkston with 10 digs. Block leader was Ambrielle Logan with 6 blocks. Abbey Messick contributed 2 service aces. Player of the match was #11 Ainsley Mandell.

JV & Freshman – The JV and freshman teams did their part in winning and remaining undefeated in district play. The JV won with scores of 25-13 and 25-15, while the freshmen made it a little more exciting winning with scores of 25-16 and 25-23.

The Longhorns travel to Calhoun on Tuesday to have a little crab fest of their own.
