The Longhorn Varsity baseball team took on the Lamar Mustangs on Saturday and came away with a 10-0 victory in 5 innings. Sarah Hudek started on the mound for the Longhorns going 3 innings with no runs, 2 hits, and 2 strikeouts. Ty Ripoll and Justin Hermes came in for a quick 4th and 5th inning. The Longhorn offense was led by Brady Burns who had 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Jon Kastens and Bradley Greer added two hits each, while Garrett Gray, Dylan Rock, Daniel Boehm, and Mitchell North each had one. Bryce Varni had a timely walk-off hit to score 2 runs to end the game. The Longhorns improve to 8-1 in district play as they travel to Port Lavaca tonight to take on the Sand Crabs.
