Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Cross Country team on placing 2nd overall in the Division 1 girls section. Top 15 finishers were Theresa McComiskey, Ruhi Patel and Payton Rouse. All three ladies came out with season bests running to the finish in true Longhorn fashion. Katia Davis and Lauren Nguyen ran excellent personal and season bests and rounded out the top 30 spots. This secured the second place spot beating out Clear Springs by 1 point!! Jasmine Frechel contributed to her team as she finished 37th running a season best time as well. The Girls JV had string finishers as Jeyme Alvear-Garcia finished 6th out of 130 competitors. Savannah Creech finished 34th, Stephanie Trevino finished 38th, Kenia Washington finished 43rd, Alexis Woods finished 47th to finish out the top 5 spots. Faith White and Colette Knoblauch finished 62nd and 97th overall. The ladies compete in their last pre-district meet Friday at Clear Lake invite.
