Friday night the girls soccer teams started the district season by hosting the Lady Mustangs from Lamar. The JV got things started with a 2-1 victory. The goals were scored by Emma Carlson and Grace Ramirez. Also contributing with the strong effort were Carson Yanta, Noely Hernandez, and Heidi Jacko. The Varsity continued the winning ways defeating the Lady Mustangs 6-0. Celeste Ruiz led the scoring with 2 goals, with Taylor Rech, Jordan Shimaitis, Mehgan Burger, and Sydney Heikkila all adding one goal. Shreya Desai set a new school record for by tallying 6 assist. Solid play came from Colleen Janecek, Kasey Davis and Madeline Bares. The girls head to Calhoun on Tuesday to continue their quest for a third district title.
