crosscountryThe Girls Varsity Cross Country Team competed at the Pearland Invite last Friday and placed 2nd overall out of. The girls ran extremely well. Theresa McComiskey lead the way and placed first overall for the girls Varsity division. She had well over a 30 second game to the 2nd place competition. Freshmen Brooke Johnson and Alyssa Heikkila broke the top 20 and medaled for the Longhorns as well. To round out the top places were Ruhi Patel and Sydney Delagdo placing 22nd and 25th respectively. The girls Junior Varsity placed 4th out of 11 teams overall at the Pearland Invite. Sienna Espindola led the way for the longhorns medaling and placing 20th out of more than 100 competitors. Notable placers for the Longhorns were Cami Lidisy, Kenia Washington, Ramsa Kazi and Hayley Lindstrom. The Longhorns will be a little closer to home for an afternoon meet Thursday at the Kempner Cougar classic starting at 3:00pm
