Congratulations to the girls Varsity cross country team on earning the Team title at the Galveston Beach Invite last Friday in the Division 1 section. The girls battled the sand 100% for 2.5 miles and came out with the ultimate Victory. Top 5 finishers for the longhorns were Theresa McComiskey with 2nd place, Brooke Johnson placed 8th, Ruhi Patel Placed 10th, Alyssa Heikkila placed 17th and Sydney Delgado placed 25th to seal the win. Senior Lauren Nguyen placed 46th out of 81 competitors. The Girls Junior Varsity cross country team placed 5th out of 28 teams at the Galveston Beach Invite. Top 5 finishers for the Longhorns were Sienna Espindola, Ramsa Kazi, Elizabeth Sanchez, Hayley Lindstrom and Cami Lidisky all helped with the point score. The Longhorns continue their quest towards competing in their first district meet as a 6A school.
