The GRHS Cheerleaders are holding a cheer clinic on Saturday, October 12. The clinic is open to anyone from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Reliant is committed to recognizing top student athletes throughout the Houston Area. That is why we have partnered with the Houston Texans for the 9th annual Scholarship for Champions Program! We have extended the deadline to September 13thso you have plenty of time to nominate your deserving student athletes.
This scholarship awards eight $5,000 scholarships to high school student-athletes who have exhibited remarkable leadership in athletics, academics and community involvement. Now, we need you to help us identify them by submitting a nomination!

The George Ranch High School cheerleaders are hosting the Longhorn Yell, a community wide pep rally and spirit event, at the GRHS Football Field on September 4th at 7:00pm. Admission is free and it is open to anyone in the community that wants to join in to kickoff an exciting Longhorn football season!
Join us at 5:30 for a BBQ dinner ($10 a plate), play games and win prizes. All details, including pre-purchase of BBQ tickets, can be found on this flyer: LonghornYell2013
The ABC will be on hand sell Longhorn merchandise, including “Maroon Out” t-shirts for the September 6th game versus Kingwood Park. You will also be able to signup to join the ABC, if you haven’t done so already.

The George Ranch Cheerleaders and Mascots attended NCA cheer camp at Moody Gardens on August 5-8, 2013. The entire cheer team was nominated for All-American. The squad received several awards and was able to bring home a spirit stick. The cheerleaders won top team in the performance division for large varsity. They did an amazing job at camp. Our mascots also won several awards. Two of our mascots are All-American mascots, they received the Leadership Award, the Unity Award, and the Spirit Monkey which is the most spirited mascots for the entire time at camp. Our senior mascots were also offered applications to be on NCA Staff!!! What a great year this is going to be!

Julia Lane is a student at George Ranch High School who was recently diagnosed with nasal pharyngeal undifferentiated carcinoma, and is now fighting a battle for her life against cancer. She is a senior and head cheerleader at GRHS, as well as a competitive cheerleader outside of school. She is a very bright and talented young lady both academically and athletically. (more…)
If you are looking for the opportunity to cheer, chant, dance, and show your Longhorn spirit at a GRHS football game, now is your chance! The GRHS Cheerleaders will be hosting a CHEER CLINIC for anyone who is in Kindergarten through 8th grade. You will have the chance to learn cheers, chants, and a sideline dance as well as fun activities with the cheerleaders. Best of all, you will get to perform at a GRHS football game against Lamar on October 19, 2012! At this football game, we are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month so we will PINK OUT the Mustangs.
