Boys Varsity Track at Pearland Invite

xctrackThe George Ranch Varsity Boys track team competed at the Pearland Invite this past weekend. The weather impacted all field events. No field event competitors competed. On the Track, Will Lord posted a personal Best in the 3200m run placing 6th over all. The Boys 4x100m relay finished 4th. The Distance Medley finished 6th over all. The relay members were; Josh Triesch, Antonio Cook, Wilson Hinz, Jimmy Olmos. The 4x800m Relay Finished 6th over all. The relay Members were: Hunter Davis, Connor McCoy, Ian Hernandez and Marcus Diep. In the 300 hurdles, Colton Pounders Finished 4th over all and Jayson Baldridge finished 1st over all. As a team the Longhorns rounded out in 5th place. The longhorns compete again this week at the Cypress falls Golden Eagle Relays Thursday at 3:30pm.

Boy’s Track Finishes 4th at State

Boy’s Track Places 3rd in Region 3-5A

xctrackThe Boys Track team traveled to Huntsville to compete at the Region 3-5A championships. The team finished third over all with tones of fantastic performances. In Pole Vault, Jacob Adair qualified to move on to State with a second place finish and a vault of 14ft 3in. Robert Platt Finished 4th with a vault of 13ft 6in. In the Long Jump, Jay Clark finished 7th overall with a leap of 20ft 6in. In the 3200m run, Alec Waldschmidt finished 4th with a season best of 9:43.16 and Jacob Nava finished 5th with a time of 9:57.63. In the 1600m run Jacob Nava Finished 9th with a time of 4:34.78 and Wilson Hinz finished 11th with a time of 4:38.57. In the 4x100m Relay the team advances to state with a second place finished with a time of 40.99. The team members were Darius Anderson, Jayson Baldridge, Champion Allison, and Jairon McVea. In the 110 Hurdles LeRoy Franklin broke the school record and finished 4th with a time of 14.62. In the 300 hurdles, Jayson Baldridge advances to state with a second place finish and a time of 37.88 and LeRoy Franklin finished 5th with a personal best of 38.91. In the 400m dash Champion Allison advances to state by winning with a season best time of 46.83 that time puts in number 1 in the state of Texas. In the 4x400m relay, the team advances to state with a third place finish with a season best time of 3:15.18sec. The team will travel to the University of Texas to compete at the 5A state meet May 13th. Go Longhorns!

Boy’s Track at Fort Bend Relays

xctrackThis past weekend the Varsity boys track team competed at the Fort Bend Relays. The team finished 3rd over all with two nationally rank times and a event winner. Wilson Hinz won the boys mile with a time of 4:33 sec. Champion Allison won the 200m Dash with a new school record of 21.05 seconds, placing him number 2 in the state. Jayson Baldridge won the 300h with a new school record of 36.81, placing him number 2 in the state and number 2 in the Country. Jacob Adair placed third in the pole vault and Robert Platt placed 4th in the pole vault. The boys will be competing this weekend at the Rockhold relays in Baytown and some will be competing at the Texas Relays at the University of Texas.

Boy’s Freshman/JV Track at Terry

xctrackLast night the JV boys finished second and the Freshman boys won the track meet at Terry High School. First place finishes for the night included T MCgee in the 100 meters, Travis Lefall in the discus, Max Keast in the 3200, Jake Lauck in the 800, Josh Prushing in the 1600, and Jimmy Olmos in the 3200 and 1600.

Boy’s JV/Freshman Track Won Wildcat Relays

xctrackThursday night the Freshman and JV Boys won the Wildcat Relays in George Ranch fashion. First places for the night include Cameron Pressler in the 400, Jaqrueil McGee, Jayren Miller, Dylan Salazar, and Stephan Bregger Hegger in the 4×100, Alex Burgess in the 3200, and Tommy Cook in the 200.

Boy’s Track at Clear Falls Relays

xctrackThe boys track team had a good performance at the Clear Falls Relays. The team took 4th over all. Stand out performances were: LeRoy Franklin in the 300h. with a personal best and finished first with a time of 39.72. Jayson Baldridge won the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.97. The 4×100 placed 5th with relay members Mikial Uno, Darius Anderson, Josh Scruggs, and Jairon McVea. In the Pole Vault Jacob Adair tied for 3rd with a vault of 13ft. Darius Anderson placed 4th in the long jump with a leap of 21ft. Champion Allison finished second in the 200m. with a personal best of 21.60. The 4×400 relay finished second with a season best of 3:20.15. Relay members were: Jayson Baldridge, Corey Gorman, LeRoy Franklin, Champion Allison. The Longhorns will compete this Friday at the LCISD relays. Come out and support them!

Boy’s Freshman/JV Track at Longhorn Relays

xctrackLast night the JV and Freshman Boys Track teams finished first place respectively at the Longhorn Relays. First place finishes for the night included Josh Prushing in the 3200, Raul Zepeda in the 800, Marcus Diep in the 1600, Thomas Cook in the 200, Raymond Martinez in the 3200, Luke Edjmon in the 800, Alex Burgess in the 1600, Jeremiah Russell in the Discus, Joshua Whitmore in the Triple Jump and Dylan Swain in the Long Jump and David Jenkins in the Long Jump. Next week the boys travel to Angleton to continue the season.

Boy’s Track at Seven Lakes Relays

xctrackThe Varsity boys Track team had a great season opener at Seven Lakes High School at Seven Lakes relays. The team placed 2nd over all with many great performances. In the 5000 meter run Will Lord finished 13th, Jacob Nava finished 14th. In the James Morris Mile and Josh Triesch finished 15th, Hunter Davis finished 20th and Raymond Martinez finished 25th. In the 800 meter run Will Hinz finished 5th with a time of 2:05.19 sec. Brett Mottin finished 15th with a 2:15.25. In the 400m Champion Allison won the event with a new school record, a time of 47,57. the fastest time in the state of Texas and the 3rd fastest time in the country. Corey Gorman finished 13th with a 52.56 and Ben Willis finished 25th. In the 300 Hurdles, Jayson Baldridge won the event with a time of 38.39, and has the 6th fastest time in the country and the 4th fastest time in Texas. Colton Pounders finished 9th with a personal best of 43.33. In the 200 meters Sebastian Avellano finished 6th with a personal best of 23.36 and Charles Irowa won the 200 meters with a personal best of 22.70. In the 100m dash Darius Anderson finished 5th with a time of 11.21 seconds and Mikial Onu finished 8th with a time of 11.31. Josh Scruggs finished 21st with a time of 11.66. in the 4x100m relay the Longhorns finished 3rd with a time of 42.74 one of the fastest times in the state of Texas. Team members were: Darius Anderson, Mikial Onu, Josh Scruggs and Champion Allison. In the 4x400m relay the longhorns placed 2nd with a time of 3:21.52. The members were Jayson Baldridge, Champion Allison, Charles Irowa, and Corey Gorman. In the Long Jump Darius Anderson finished 2nd with a leap of 21ft 11in. In the Pole Vault Jacob Adair won the event with a new school record, a vault of 14’6′. Jacob has the 5th highest vault in the state. Robert Platt finish 6th with a 13’0 vault. what a way to open up the season. The next track meet will be this Friday at Clear falls high school in League City.

Boy’s JV/Freshman Track Win Falcon Relays

xctrackLast night the JV Boys and Freshman boys won first place at the Falcon Relays. First place performances for the night were Isaac Smith in the 3200, Moses Rivera in the 1600 , Alex Burgess in the 800, Ian Hernandez in the 800, Thomas Cook in the 200, and Jeremiah Russel in the shot put and discus. Next week come out and watch the Longhorns do it again on our track!
