Varsity – The Varsity softball team collected four hits, but they fell 7-0 to Angleton. Natasha Cabucio was a workhorse in the circle for the Longhorns. Cabucio allowed two earned runs, 11 hits and no walks while striking out two over seven innings of work. The Longhorns’ next game is Tuesday, March 12 at 6:30pm at Lamar.
JV – The JV team lost 10-3 to Angleton last night at home despite Lauren Chubon’s two-hit day at the dish. George Ranch scored three runs in the bottom of the third to cut its deficit to five, and a two-run double by Cienna Cantu gave George Ranch life. The girls travel to Lamar next Tuesday to continue district play at 5:00pm.
