Varsity – The Varsity baseball team traveled to Bay City last night and came home with a 13-1 victory, in 5 innings, over the Blackcats. The offense was led by Blake Sisco who went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI’s, 2 runs scored; Will Gay who was 3 for 3 with a 2-run homer and a total of 6 RBI’s; Chad Romere who was 2 for 4 with an RBI; Kyle Owen, Grant Page, and Lorenzo Palomares each had doubles and contributing RBI’s. Page took the mound for the Longhorns going 3 innings, only allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 5. Nick Nowak came in for the last two innings and kept all 6 batters from reaching base. The Longhorns are now 9-1 in district play as they travel to Foster on Friday to take on the 10-0 Falcons at 7:00pm. Come out and support your Longhorns!

JV Maroon – The JV Maroon baseball team defeated Bay City on Tuesday night by a score of 20-0. Cole Morgan picked up the win throwing 7 strikeouts in 4 innings. Will Clark closed out the game throwing 2 strikeouts in one inning. The Longhorn offense saw 17 players reach base safely with 13 different players crossing the plate. On Friday, the team takes their 9-1 district record and an 18-2 overall record into a home matchup versus the Foster Falcons.
