Freshman Black – The Freshman Black team took on the Terry Rangers last night. The Longhorns dominated the Rangers in the first half running the score to 20-0. Champion Allison scored two rushing touchdowns, and Sergio Martinez caught one pass for a touchdown from quarterback Trenton Harrell. The defense was led by Samuel Barnes and Amaechi Oghor. Jackson Figenshaw and Colton Turner both had interceptions to help seal the victory. The final score was 20-0.

Freshman Maroon – The Freshman Maroon football team won their 2nd district game against Terry last night by score of 32-19. Brent Ugo scored first for the Longhorns with an Antonio Jackson pass to Quintin Morris to add the two-point conversion. The offense couldn’t punch it in to go into the half as they ended on the 1-yard line. The Rangers struck first in the second half, and Ugo returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and added the two-point conversion. The next defensive series saw Christian “Bear” Macias with a pick 6 and Ugo tacking on two. As the game was winding down, the Longhorns had a 3rd and long, but a Jackson pass to Morris added the final touchdown. The conversion came from another Jackson pass, this time to Kyle Curtis who held onto the ball despite the defenders on him. The Longhorns travel to Angleton next Thursday to continue district play.

JV Black – Last night the JV Black football team shut out the Terry Rangers by a score of 22-0. Scoring first for the defense was Devin Bowser, followed by Chandler Zamora and Justin Hermes for the offense. The Longhorns are 2 and 0 in district play and will face the Angleton Wildcats next Thursday at home.

JV Maroon – The JV Maroon fought hard but came up short 16-8 against Terry last night. Michael Scruggs scored the touchdown, and Zach Loskie scored the 2-point conversion on a pass from Blake Whichard. The defense was led by Jairon McVea. The Longhorns play Angleton here at the Ranch next Thursday at 7:00pm.
