It was a nail biter last Saturday afternoon as your Longhorns took on the Elgin Wildcats. In the first half the Longhorns dominated both on offense and defense. Timon Nolan, Darius Anderson, and Xavian Marks all scored touchdowns that gave the Longhorns a 28 to 0 lead going into the 2nd half.
But during the 2nd half, Elgin came back by recovering 4 onside kicks. Despite the surge by the Wildcats, the Longhorn defense was able to cause two 2nd half turnovers with Torin Marks and Alfred Wande picking off two passes. The Longhorns finally pulled it out with the score of 37 to 28.
