The Varsity baseball team opened the LCISD Tournament yesterday by hosting defending 4A State Champs, the Tomball Cougars. The Longhorns had bases loaded with no outs when time expired to get the 6-4 win. Grant Page went 6 innings on the mound giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits while striking out 4. The offense was led by Kyle Owen and Garrett Gray who each had 2 hits. Cam Boudreaux, Kevin Kopps, Jonathan Kastens, and Brady Burns each contributed hits. Tournament play continues today, and the Longhorns will face Denton at 11:00am and Strake Jesuit at 6:30pm.
