Congrats to the Longhorn Girls’ Basketball Program for sweeping the Northbrook Raiders last night in their season opener.
Freshman – The freshman team beat the Raiders 31-11; led by China Omeludike with 8 points, Jasmine Frachel with 7 and Trace Nelson with 6.
JV – The JV team followed up the freshman effort winning 55-7. The team was led by Chidube Ogbonna with 11 points, and Hannah Agner also scoring in double digits with 10.
Varsity – The Varsity Longhorns jumped on the Raiders early with a 30-point lead in the 1st half. With the final score being 74-9, the team was led by freshman Shelby Kvinta with 11 points and sophomore Haley Johnson with 10.
The Longhorns will begin tournament play on Thursday at Baytown Lee.
