Varsity – The George Ranch Longhorns Varsity boys’ soccer team defeated the West Columbia Roughnecks on Friday night 5-0 at GRHS. Goals in the contest came from junior forward Mason Mercado, junior midfielder Daniel Eke, sophomore midfielder Cristian Gallardo, and 2 from junior forward Julian Centeno. Aiding in the shutout was junior goalkeeper Yassine Kettani with 3 saves against 3 shots from the Roughnecks and an assist from senior forward Matt Vasquez. The team improved its regular season record to 2-1-1 with the victory.
JV – The George Ranch JV boys’ soccer team defeated West Columbia 2-0 on Friday night at the Ranch. Goals came from Shane Swamanathan and Jacob Molina. The team improved to 2-2-0 on the season.
