The Longhorn wrestlers competed in the Region III wrestling tournament over the Valentine’s Day weekend. The boys’ team finished in 7th overall. Placing for the boys were Hunter Jessup in 6th; Corey Chartier, Brad Cross and Garrett Brinneman in 3rd; and Nick Ramirez was the top finisher in 2nd place. The girls’ finished 4th overall for the second year in a row. Placing for the girls were Jac’Quyra McDade in 6th place; Diana Luong in 5th place; and Jordan Martinez, Loren Braun and Lydia Masters in 3rd place. So George Ranch qualified 4 boys and 3 girls for state with one girls’ alternate. The Longhorns will leave Thursday to travel to Garland, TX, to take on the best in the state.
